Using every fiber of his Qi energy and using every detail of his magic, cramming in knowledge from the past, Raze was busy enhancing the items. It wasn't as simple as just enchanting such things.
In order for the highest chance of success, he needed to find items that had a large affinity to magic. On top of that, he was limited in the number of power stones he had as well.
So there were times where he would be spent just bashing two lower-tiered power stones to make a higher one. Then repeating the process to get even higher-grade power stones.
