As always with an intense fight between large forces, a series of key duels were erupting across several different sectors of the Underside. But in the maze-like, shadowed streets of the underground city, it was the arrival of the Masked Men that was causing the most devastating trouble.
As one of these elite figures landed squarely in the main streets, dozens of nearby mages, fueled by desperation and courage, immediately charged, determined to overwhelm him. The Masked Man didn't even flinch.
He simply lifted the palms of his hands in both directions, and a blinding, searing flood of yellow energy erupted. The wave of power was so massive, so immediate, that it consumed the entirety of the charging forces, turning them into little more than dust and vapor where they stood.
