A healing potion wasn't on the list of things that Raze was planning to create first. This was because, for a mage, they were relatively quite useless.
Mages didn't have strong bodies; instead, they used magic to fortify themselves or create defensive barriers, counters, and many more. If an attack from a mage managed to get through, it would mean the end for them in battle.
Hence, potions weren't directly used on mages, but were something that existed for the general public. In this case, though, a potion was extremely helpful.
