The baby phoenix was trapped inside a brazier located at the center of the Altar of Resurrection. A barrier made up of some kind of spiritual energy surrounded the brazier, making it impossible for the fledgling to escape.
"Coo. Coo."
The baby phoenix let out pitiful chirps while lying weakly inside. Patches of its feathers were missing, which was clear evidence that it suffered extreme abuse at the hands of the angels.
