The town of Yonglin is nestled against the mountains, primarily consisting of hilly terrain, with only the northwestern corner being a flat expanse. On this plain stands a complex of blue-tiled houses covering several acres, sharply contrasting with the dilapidated thatched huts that surround it.
This is the ancestral home of the Huang family. Over a century ago, an ancestor of the Huang family served as a county magistrate.
His son, leveraging his father's power, gradually became the dominant force in Yonglin town. Through more than a hundred years of development, the Huang family used various means to acquire over seventy percent of the farmland in Yonglin.
