In northern Shaanxi, there is a mountain range that serves as a natural boundary between Dakang and the Dangxiang people.
Twenty li north of Weizhou City, this mountain range contains a valley called Qing Shui Gu (Clear Water Valley).
When Dakang was first established, Qing Shui Gu was a vital route for merchants traveling to the Dangxiang territory, and Weizhou City was a major trading center.
