Several months ago, Jin Feng had intended to mass-produce firearms. However, given the limitations of the smelting workshop at the time, he could only manage to produce matchlock guns in limited quantities.
Matchlock guns require gunpowder to be loaded through the muzzle, followed by a slow-burning fuse inserted into the powder. Then, a projectile like iron filings is inserted from the muzzle, and finally, the touchhole on the rear of the weapon is ignited, igniting the gunpowder inside the barrel.
The explosion propels the projectile out of the muzzle. This type of firearm is too slow to load, has poor accuracy, and a short range.
