The River Sand Fortress is the western gateway to the capital city of the Kingdom Angus, and it typically houses a garrison of at least 3,000 soldiers.
Even when troops were redeployed for an offensive against the Kingdom of Leight, the garrison at the River Sand Fortress remained untouched. To ensure its security, the King Angus also dispatched a relatively reliable Earl to oversee the fortress.
Although, due to the limited economic strength of the Kingdom Angus and the insufficient production capacity of the Shirek Corporation, the most elite needle-firing rifles were not issued to the troops stationed there. However, several field cannons had been recently added to bolster its defenses.
