This is the latest type of general-purpose hand grenade produced by the Datang Group. It's more compact than the wooden-handled grenades previously used, making it easier for soldiers to carry and reducing logistical burdens.
While wooden-handled grenades can be thrown further and prevent them from rolling after landing, they are significantly larger than the egg-shaped grenades, occupying a large amount of transport space and increasing operational costs.
Furthermore, carrying an egg-shaped grenade is obviously easier for individual soldiers, allowing them to carry more at once.
