Chapter 58: Number Twenty-Nine

From Daws' perspective, the man's attire seemed somewhat unfamiliar. He had never seen anyone dressed quite like that before.

The man who parted the bushes wore a gray-green soft cap, adorned with a wreath-like arrangement of grass and twigs. The foliage on his head made him almost blend into the surroundings, making it difficult to distinguish him.

He had leather ammunition pouches attached to either side of his body by straps. On the left side of the pouches hung a long bayonet scabbard, while on the right was a holster for a handgun.
