Jack was still in the underground chamber fighting the Raretooth tribe. He summoned Therras, his spirit weapon, and his ten golden wolves.
He easily killed the lower-ranked orcs of the tribe. When he saw a higher rank, he incapacitated them and then bound them using runic ropes.
He didn't have that many runic ropes to capture every orc here so he chose those with higher ranks. These orcs might have valuable information, so he tried to capture as many of them as possible.
