Lex suddenly got the feeling like he was about to get pulled into something huge, but for once he no longer resisted it. It was kind of pointless.
Previously, Lex wanted to avoid additional problems because he wanted to retreat into the Inn for as long as possible to raise his strength.
He needed to end the Inn's seal previously because he had to break through to the Earth immortal realm, and that was not something he could do within the Midnight Realm. But once that was done, he wanted to go back to sealing the Inn, or at least isolating it as much as possible.
