Wood before he left, and Mr. Wood hadn't been using those coins to support the people of Yining Village, these two elders might not have been able to hold on until now.
Duke didn't have any better solutions, and the things he left behind were all mild in nature, with no adverse effects on ordinary elderly people. However, the effects were not great; they couldn't extend their lives much longer, only make them a bit more comfortable.
