Safa had gathered up her Qi, and light magic to the point of her spear. She had used it and carefully planned her attack.
Just in case Heino had some other way of blocking the attack with her hands, she had decided to go for a vital blow. It had worked.
Her spear had broken through a strange barrier. She had felt it, the barrier perhaps was due to the magical blazer he wore and many other mages wore, and then she saw the spear go right through his stomach.
